Pro-5X Ingredients
Small Flowered Willow Herb (Epliobium Parviflorum) is the only raw ingredient in Pro-5X. This is a unique, non-commercially produced, herb that is found to have such a dramatic effect on prostate problems that there is no need to add other ingredients to this product.
Our special exctraction process increases the potency of the herb and isolates key active ingredients that have been proven to reduce DHT and should restore normal function to the prostate gland.
It's anti-inflammatory properties work quickly to shrink enlarged prostate. At the same time the actives such as B-Sitosterol and Oenothein A and B in the herb work to promote healthy cells and restore proper function to both urinary and reproductive systems.
Actives found in Epliobium Parviflorum
There are many active ingredients in Epliobium Parviflorum such as:
b-sitosterol, various esters of sitosterol, sitosterol glucoside,
campesterol, linoleic acid, mycertin-3-o-beta-glucuronide, querciti,
gallic acid & macrocyclic ellagitannins, oenothein A1, B1 and B2. Here is some information.
Oenothein A and B
Oenothein A and B are some key actives in Epliobium Parviflorum that have been found to inhibit 5 alpha-reductase and aromatase thus promoting healthy Prostate
Inhibition of 5 alpha-reductase and aromatase, which are involved in the etiology of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), was confirmed in several recent articles. (1) , (2) In addition, the anti-infectious activity of a water-alcohol extract of epilobium was shown in vitro (outside the body), in ovo (in an egg) and in vivo (in a living body). (3)

Beta-sitosterol
Beta-sitosterol, active ingredient in Epliobium Parviflorum is found to reducing symptoms of enlarged postate among other things.
Beta-sitosterol alone and in combination with similar plant sterols-reduces blood levels of cholesterol. (1), (2) , (3) This appears to be because beta-sitosterol blocks absorption of cholesterol. 4 It has also been effective in reducing symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia. (5)
Although molecules quite similar to beta-sitosterol inhibit cancer cells in test tubes, the relevance of this information for people remains unknown. (6)
Beta-sitosterol is one of several plant sterols (cholesterol is the main animal sterol) found in almost all plants. It has become know as the numebr one active ingredient in Saw -Palmetto (a popular natural treatment)

Our Small Flowered Willow Herb
Small Flowered Willow Herb active ingredients keep the prostate cells in their normal, differentiated state, allowing them to be the cells they were intended to be. Without exposure to these actives ingredients the cells can become clonal, leading to hyperplasia and cancer.
The raw material used in Pro5X is the most potent and the highest quality Small Flowered Willow Herb (Epilobium parviflorum) available.
Our willow herb is grown organically without the use of any chemicals or pesticides in Canada. Our specialist determines the optimum potency during the plants life cycle by accurate measurement of actives and only selects and propagates the more potent strains of the herb. Every batch withstands rigorous testing and quality control lab analysis, and good manufacturing practices are applied to assure a high quality finished product.
